Unreal Engine Team Project:

Dreaming the Prairie

Overview:

Dreaming the Prairie is an interactive Unreal Engine installation developed with Studio localStyle, exploring the threatened Bell Bowl Prairie through the perspective of the rusty patched bumblebee. The prairie was digitally reconstructed using GIS data to preserve its ecological memory.

Role:

As part of the development team, I worked as a UX designer and VR developer, focusing on interaction design and technical implementation for Oculus Quest 2.

I optimized 3D plant and terrain assets from Maya to Unreal Engine for real-time performance, developed Blueprint-based interaction systems, and prototyped immersive navigation and event triggers to guide user experience within the VR environment.

VR Prototyping Player Interactions with UE5 & Oculus Quest 2

This VR prototype builds spatial interactions and event-triggered moments that guide players through a rusty-patched bumbelbee scale prairie world. Gaze-based interaction, environmental feedback, and simple VR-optimized navigation help create an immersive and intuitive experience.
